Review: jQuery Mobile First Look

When I first visited www.jquerymobile.com, I wonder how I could create a jQuery mobile app. There are no tutorials on their website. This book might be my answer.

I took my time and pay more attention reading and follow the book step by step. One also requires basic knowledge of JQuery & Web Design and HTML5 & CSS3.

The author started by introducing what it was and comparing with other jQuery mobile application libraries. In the book, the author specifically explained about Web Design & Layout for JQuery Mobile Applications.

Here are the lists:

· Organizing Content – page structure, multi-page templates, link internal and external pages and theme etc.

· Configuring and Extending jQuery Mobile – handling events:- Touch events, Scroll events and theme framework etc

· Reading, Writing, Communicating: Content - How content is displayed, Using columns and grids and collapsible blocks etc.

· Navigation: Toolbars - creating a navbar, fullscreen positioning and theming toolbars etc

· Mobile Clicking: Buttons - creating link buttons and displaying buttons etc

· Transmitting Information: Forms - input elements, Flip switches, radio buttons, checkboxes and Sliders etc

· Organizing Information: List Views - nested lists and numbered lists etc

This book will give you an idea and can be helpful to create jQuery Mobile App, covering for the first time creating it, not including in media & sound or (just references) API calls . In addition, it is still on BETA version.
